PROCEDURES FOR LICENSE FOR RECOGNITION OF RESIDENTIAL CLASSES
After applying for the investment procedure and business registration procedure for the hotel business, the Company will apply for a License to operate this business. There will be no type of License called Hotel Business License but for this industry, Enterprises need to apply for the following types of Licenses:
Specifically, according to Clause 1, Article 49 and Article 50 of the 2017 Law on Tourism, businesses need to apply for more
- License to meet security and order conditions;
- License for fire prevention and fighting conditions;
- License for food safety eligibility; and
- The decision to recognize the tourist accommodation establishment
4.1. 1 – 3 stars: apply to the Department of Tourism
4.2. 4 – 5 stars: Vietnam National Administration of Tourism
I. FROM 1 STAR TO 3 STARS:

– Organizations and individuals dealing in tourist accommodation services may voluntarily register the rating of tourist accommodation establishments with competent state agencies. – Organizations and individuals dealing in tourist accommodation services shall submit an application to the Department of Tourism / the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In case the dossier is invalid, within 03 working days from the date of receiving the dossier, the Department of Tourism / Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism must notify in writing and clearly state the request for modification, additional; – Within 30 days from the date of receiving a valid application, the Department of Tourism/ Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall take charge and cooperate with the socio-professional organization in tourism to appraise and issue a decision. determination of recognition of tourist accommodation establishments; In case of non-recognition, it must notify in writing and clearly state the reasons. |

– Organizations and individuals dealing in tourist accommodation services shall submit an application to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. In case the dossier is invalid, within 03 working days from the date of receiving the dossier, the General Department of Tourism must notify in writing and clearly state the request for amendment and supplement; – Within 30 days after receiving a valid dossier, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism shall assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the socio-professional organization in tourism in appraising and issuing a decision to recognize the tourist accommodation establishment calendar; In case of non-recognition, it must notify in writing and clearly state the reasons. |
