PRIME MINISTER REQUIRED THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE TO SUBMISSION TO THE GOVERNMENT TO MODIFY THE PROVISIONS ON PIT INCENTIVES FOR FOREIGN EXPERTS
In the content of Directive 14/CT-TTg dated May 24, 2023 in the section “Preparation of favorable conditions for investment attraction, production, and business”, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to implement the following contents:
- Review the inadequacies and inconsistencies of regulations of tax law with regulations on beneficiaries of tax incentives of special laws to promulgate regulations on taxes, either at their own discretion or through competent authorities, to the granting of tax incentives in accordance with other relevant laws by the third quarter of 2023;
- Review and improve current legal regulations and develop a roadmap to apply the global minimum tax on the basis of international experience and suitable to the context and practical situation of Vietnam, and then submit it in the 6th session of the National Assembly in 2023;
- By the third quarter of 2023, submit a proposal to the Government to amend regulations on personal income tax incentives for foreign experts, overseas Vietnamese experts, and high-quality domestic human resources to expand high quality human resources in Vietnam.
